5 Personal Questions I get asked the most:
1. Hey Catherine, Where are you from and where did you go to school?
I'm from Shelby NC, and I graduated from Western Carolina University
2. If you weren’t on the radio, then what would you do for a living?
I would be a nurse as long as they let me be one without all the school stuff; I'm horrible with math and there’s no way I could pass anatomy class.
3. Whats your favorite moment of your career?
Wow, there have been plenty but I have to say when Charlie (of “Charlie and Debbie”) called to congratulate me on my CMA nomination for major market personlity of the year. That was a shock on many levels but such a wonderful one.
4. Tell me something about your personal life:
I'll give you the cliffnotes version: I'm a single Mom with three beautiful children to care for: Emily, William and Aiden. I love the color purple (the actual color, the movie was ok too); Gone with the Wind is my favorite movie of all time. And Vince Gill is my favorite artist. My Dad was and is my hero: he raised me to believe that no one is below me or above me; and to trust in God's will above all else.
5. Who is the nicest artist you've met and who is too big for their britches??
There are too many nice ones to count; Jimmy Wayne is a personal friend and a local boy; Vince was the most humble, Garth Brooks was by far the most welcoming; there are several that could learn lessons from them but I'll not name names :) However, country artists are by far the most real of any other genre and thats a fact.
