Carrie Underwood Has the Week's Top Album and Song

What a week for Carrie Underwood's scrapbook! Not only did the Oklahoma sunbeam sparkle as co-host of the CMA Awards and heat up the room with her slinky rendition of "Cowboy Casanova," she also has the week's top album -- in both Billboard's country and all-genres charts -- and the No. 1 country song.

Her new album is Play On and her big song is, of course, the aforesaid "Cowboy Casanova." So if you've still got a fist to pump in the air, thrust it in Underwood's direction.

The week's other new country albums include Alan Jackson's Songs of Love and Heartache (sold at Cracker Barrel restaurants), which debuts at No. 10, and Hank Williams: Revealed: The Unreleased Recordings of Hank Williams (Time Life release) arriving at No. 64. Songs 4 Worship Country Live, a multi-artist collection featuring Ricky Skaggs, Richie McDonald and others, hits the chart at No. 73.

Coming back to the charts are Joey & Rory's The Life of a Song (No. 71), the Eli Young Band's Jet Black & Jealous (No. 72), Ryan Bingham & the Dead Horses' Roadhouse Sun (No. 74) and Rodney Carrington's El Nino Loco (No. 75).

Montgomery Gentry's "There Oughta Be More Songs About That" (No. 59) and Rocket Club's "One More Day" (No. 60) are the only new songs. (And, no, this isn't the "One More Day" Diamond Rio made famous.)

Brad Paisley's "American Saturday Night" returns to the songs chart at No. 41.

Albums No. 2 through No. 5, in that order, are Taylor Swift's Fearless, Tim McGraw's Southern Voice, the Zac Brown Band's The Foundation and the self-titled Lady Antebellum.

Rounding out the Top 5 songs, in descending order, are Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," Luke Bryan's "Do I," the Zac Brown Band's "Toes" (last week's No. 1) and Reba McEntire's "Consider Me Gone."

Consider me gone, too, until next week, when there may be a big boost in album sales to report -- that is if the CMA Awards show has worked its usual sales magic.
